Directions EMEA 2026 - Paris, the Consultant Zone, and Two Panels
Directions EMEA lands in Paris this year, 27 to 29 October at the Palais des Congrès. I am excited to be part of the Consultant Zone crew this year and will be involved with two of the panel sessions. See you there!
The Consultant Zone
The Consultant Zone is the part of Directions aimed squarely at the people who sit between the customer and the product: the functional consultants, the implementers, the folks who have to make Business Central actually work in a real business.
If you are a consultant coming to Paris, please do come and find us and say hello!
Panel one - Steal This Prompt
Tuesday 27 October, 14:00, with Martin Karlowitsch, Krzysztof Bialowas and Alejandro Vazquez.

Exactly what the title says. No theory, no AI hype deck, just prompts that genuinely earn their place in a working day: the ones we use for Business Central work, what makes them hold up, and why the bad ones fail. The whole point is that you walk out with things you can use on Monday morning.
Panel two - The Line Just Moved: When Should a Consultant Write AL?
Wednesday 28 October, 15:00, with Ulrich Kaergaard, Martin Karlowitsch, Klaus Fander and AJ Ansari.

This is a hot topic. The boundary between consultant and developer has always been drawn somewhere around “who opens VS Code”, and AI assistance has moved that line. The question is not whether a consultant can produce AL now, it is when they should, who owns the result, and what good governance looks like when the barrier to writing code has dropped this far.
Strong opinions on this panel, and I doubt we will all agree. That is rather the point.
Say hello in Paris
If you are going to be there, find me in the Consultant Zone or at either session. The hallway conversations are consistently the best part of Directions, so do not be shy.
